Guidelines for Submission
- We accept original poems, short stories, short plays, and creative non-fiction.
- We seek good writing.
- We do not look for specific themes or subjects.
- Work must be original, and not previously published.
- Simultaneous submissions are acceptable, but please notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere.
- Contributors may submit 3-5 poems. Approximately 5,000 words is the limit for stories, plays, or creative non-fiction.
a. Send your work to firstname.lastname@example.org
b. Include a Cover Page in the body of the email with: i) Author’s Name; ii) Mailing Address; iii) Email Address; iv) Contact Number; v) List of Works Submitted; vi) A Brief Biography (no more than 150 words)
c. Send the work in attachment ONLY (MS Word file). Please do not put the work in the email body. Multiple submissions should be separated in different attachment files.
d. All works must be typed.
e. Put the subject line with “Submission – Genre – Your Name.”

Submission for Journal Cover

b. We accept only images in portrait orientation at this point.
c. All images submitted should be in jpeg format and 100dpi resolution (a file of higher resolution will be required upon selection for publication).
Response Time & Notification
The selection process for each issue is an international process, involving readers and editors from all over the world. Due to the large number of submissions and complex correspondence globally, we will contact the selected contributors before Yuan Yang's annual launch held in May or June.
The first deadline of submission is Mar 15, 2015 and the second deadline is Sept 15, 2015. Successful contributors will be contacted through email within six months usually after the deadline upon the acceptance of their works. Those who do not hear from the editors after six months of the submission deadline may consider their submissions not selected for the current issue. Due to the large number of submissions, we are unfortunately unable to reply to each writer. We do encourage resubmission of your other works for consideration in future issues.
Writers whose work appears in the journal can expect two copies in the mail after the issue appears. Please notify the editors if there is a change to your mailing address. Otherwise, the copies will be sent to the address that you provide on the Cover Sheet.
