Spring 2014: MFA Visiting Lecturer, Kimberly Elkins, launches her novel What is Visible from Twelve, the imprint of Grand Central Publishing, based in New York

Summer 2014: MFA Visiting Lecturer, Brittani Sonnenberg, launches her novel Home Leave from Grand Central Publishing, New York.

MFA Visiting Lecturer, Michelle Sterling, is awarded a writer’s fellowship, Akademie Schloss Solitude 2014.

MFA graduate, Wilson Chik, begins work on a new Hong Kong literary journal, Thirtyspokes, in Risograph print.

 

MFA graduate, Irene Tsang, wins first place for her story “Ah Choy” in Hong Kong’s Top Story Competition 2012

 

MFA graduate, Vincci Pun, wins Most Creative Award with her story “The Election Day” in Hong Kong’s Top Story Competition 2012

 

Five MFA graduates and students win prizes in One Image: One Hundred Voices Flash Fiction, Poetry & Creative Non-Fiction Global Writing Project. The winning entries are: "Fled" (Irene Tsang), "The Spirals" (Lori Tea), "Death in the Midwest" (Victor Christianopoulos), "A Teacher's Accusation" (Cheng Nichola), "To the Hole of Crickets" (Fatima Almeida)

 

2014: MFA student, Asale Angel-Ajani, wins a place at the Djerassi Resident Artists Program in Woodside, California.

Former creative writing student, Belle Ling, wins the Playa Fellowship Residency Award in Summer Lake, Oregon. 

MFA graduate, Vincci Pun, wins Third Prize in Fiction with her story “The Summer Solstice” in the 40th Youth Literary Awards
