The Black Sheep Family's ten-minute play festival "Postcards from Hong Kong" in March at The Fringe

Shane Sakhrani is leading a group of MFA alumni for production on Hong Kong stage. The group, named “The Black Sheep Family,” aims at supporting recent graduates as they make the delicate transition from student to professional in the hope that they will continue to commit to their writing and fully embrace their calling as artists.

Their inaugurating project is a ten-minute play festival performed at the Fringe Club in Hong Kong in March 2014: “Postcards from Hong Kong” – a highly entertaining evening of nine world premiere short plays showcasing different perspectives of modern day life in Hong Kong. From the silly to the profound, the abstract to the absurd, these remarkable plays are written by nine of the most promising new Hong Kong writers.
