Internships with the Man Asian Literary Prize (MALP) in March 2011 and summer 2011

In 2010/11, 4 students did internships during the semester and/or the summer period with The Man Asian Literary Prize (MALP), an annual literary award given to the best novel by an Asian writer, either written in English or translated into English, and published in the previous calendar year. In their March 2011 internship, in addition to regular working hours at the MALP office, supervised by the MALP manager, Ms Marina Ma, the 2 interns had specific portfolios: Yuffie Yu mainly dealt with media relations and Chinese media, assisting MALP's Press Officer Harrison Kelly, and Vicky Yuen dealt with event planning, author/guest hospitality and on-site assistance, and both were involved at the exciting MALP Award Presentation ceremony.
