As South Africa continues to celebrate the remarkable political stability that it has achieved since the dismantling of political apartheid, Andre Brink reflects on the nature and significance of the literature that has been produced in this post-apartheid period. Is South African English literature focusing on the changing social conditions? Brink will discuss the themes and trends that have emerged in response to this new socio-political reality.
